WORTH THE WAIT

After shopping for a couple of years, and returning multiple coats. I decided to call Schott a few times (and probably drove the lady crazy) reviewing the sizing of the coat to get the right fit. Talked to my husband about it, and he ordered it for me. Shortly it arrived and fit perfectly!! I finally have the right fit and model of coat I always wanted.
A LIGHT-WEIGHT BEAUTY!

Superby tailored, this coat is worth the price. Made of a relatively light-weight wool, it is perfect to when the temperature dips into the high thirties.
Up here in Maine, we need a coat to be bit more stout and most regrettably, we had to return this one. Just not heavy enough for really cold weather.
BTW, Schott's return policy couldn't be easier ot straight-forward! A truly classy organization.
WOMEN'S PEACOAT SIZE SMALL

This is a beautiful coat, but too small for me.
I sent the measurements requested (5'6", 130 lbs), and Schott sent a size Small, with Standard fit. However, it was too tight across the shoulders and the sleeves were too narrow.
Also, the coat has a beautiful satin lining, but no insulation. That means that for a 20-degree winter day (typical for Cleveland), I would have to wear a sweater, but that would not be possible with such tight sleeves.

My wife bought a Schott peacoat 30 years ago. She wore it every day it was less than 45 degrees outside. We live in Detroit. She wore it A LOT! Like every day from Halloween until mid March. Every winter activity a busy mother of three can accomplish she did wearing this coat.
After many button replacements, and pill shaving reduced it to a thread bare, yet still good looking garment, we felt it was time to replace it. Here's to another 30 years!
EXCELLENT COAT

I needed a good warm coat, and I wanted wool, and I like the pea coat aesthetic. But because I'm tall (5'10") I always have to buy a large size for the length, then the coat is too big around the middle, because I'm fairly slim at 135 pounds. But this coat being a trim cut turned out great for me. I got the medium, and it's long enough in the sleeves but not huge around the waist.

I ordered this one as a birthday present for my wife because she liked mine (the leather version) so much and wanted it so much. It was a kind of risky thing to order it from Germany in the States without knowing if it would fit. What should I say - a home run. It fits perfectly, it is perfectly build and in use since day 1. Anytime again, and a jacket which is a kind of undestroyable. Well done and thanks.

Against a backdrop of cost cutting and out-sourcing to cheaper vendors, Schott has maintained a very high level of quality. There is a timelessness to their products. I bought this coat for my wife. She loves it. The quality and details are as good as coats I purchased from Schott years ago. I imagine the same will be true years from now.

I'm 5'8" and 132 pounds. I got the XS and it fits me like a glove. If you want room to add layers, you might want to go a size up, as it's a slim cut style. The material is thick and high quality, and it looks great.
